Question 464748: if n=13^8*17^10, then the prime factorization of 26*n is______.
This is what I have so far, its not much, but I can't go further because I don't understand :( Please help!
26*13^8*17^10

Answer by Edwin McCravy(20055)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
26*138*1710

That's the correct way to start.

Now break the 26 into prime factors as 2*13

and replace the 26 by 2*13

2*13*138*1710

and then since 13*138 = 139, we end up with

2*139*1710
