First one:
s^2-64
Notice I can rewrite as:
s^2-8^2
Now, you have a "difference of squares" -- which should automatically trigger:
(s-8)(s+8) (this is completely factored)
.
Second one:
Similar to the first:
v^2-1/49
Can be rewritten as:
v^2-(1/7)^2
Now, you have a "difference of squares" -- which should automatically trigger:
(v-1/7)(v+1/7) (this is completely factored)
