Question:
Rosy has either $5 notes or $10 notes. She has a total of $260.
How many more $5 notes than $10 notes will be there?
Solution:
Rosy has either $5 or $10 notes, i.e. she has either ALL $5 notes, or $10 notes.
If she had $5 notes, there are $260/$5=52 notes.
If she had $10 notes, there are $260/$10=26 notes.
So there are 52-26=26 more $5 than $10 notes.
Note: if the total number of notes were given, it would be a different problem.
