(FOR COLLECTING CONSTANT TERMS) ==> 0.3x - 1.2 + 1.2 = 0.12x - 0.24 + 1.2 ==> 0.3x = 0.12x + 9.6 Subtract 0.12x from both sides. (FOR COLLECTING X TERMS TOGETHER) ==> 0.3x -0.12x = 0.12x + 9.6 - 0.12x ==> 0.18 x = 9.6 Divide both sides by 0.18 ==> 0.18 x / 0.18= 9.6/0.18 ==> X = 5.333333 SO, x = 5.33 Regards. praseenakos@yahoo.co.in
