Question 618591: hows does rounding a number works
Answer by killer6678(69) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You would round to the nearest digit. For example if you were to round 374 to the nearest ten then you would take the ones digit. The digit in the ones place is a 4. 4 is closest to 370 then to 380. Therefore if you would round it to the nearest tenth then it would be 370. If you would round the hundreds place then in would be 400 because 374 is closest to 400 then it is to 300. But if you get a number like 25 and you were to round it to the nearest tenth then it would be 30 because that is just how it works.
