After spending x/4 for reading books,  remaining.


Then, based on the problem description, you have this equation


     = 2.


Simplify


     = 2,  x = 2*2 = 4.


ANSWER.  x = 4:  the total time of his leisure is  4 (four, FOUR) hours.
