Question 582871: Sorry, I'm not sure I picked the right topic but I need to know how to convert 13.3 into a percent. If I am correct it is .133?? Here is the question I am trying to answer. 'What percentage of total carpet will be used in the master bedroom?" I computed that the total carpet being used throughout the house is 430 sq ft which is 47.7 sq yards. The master bedroom is 120 sq ft which is 13.3 sq yards. So, should I divide 13.3 by 47.7 or 13.3 by 100??
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Percentage used in master bedroom = ((Amount used in master bedroom)/(Total Amount))*100

Percentage used in master bedroom = (13.3/47.7)*100

Percentage used in master bedroom = (0.27882)*100

Percentage used in master bedroom = 27.882

So the percentage used in the master bedroom is roughly 27.882%
