Question 447209: bob goes to the store,he finds out if he buys 3 or more items today he can save 20% on each item.
Suppose bob buys a CD (for $15.95) and a other CD ( for $3.45). the store adds a 6.5% sales tax on the discounted price. how much money does bob spend ??

Answer by CubeyThePenguin(3113)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
cost before tax = $15.95 + $3.45 = $19.40
He only bought two items, so the discount does not apply.

add tax: $19.40 * (1 + 6.5%) = $20.66 (final price)
