Question 421722: I need to know the answer to 1.5073 divided by 0.935, without the use of a calculator.
I have tried to figure out the answer using long division and since they do not divide equally into each other I get 1.6 and 113 remainder, I am not sure on what to do with the remainder.

1507.3/935=1.612
your answer looks ok, but carry out the division firther to get rid of the remainder.
This answer can carry out a very long ways so you will have some sort of remainder depending on how far you go.
