Question 277118: round .7575 to the nearest tenth, hundredth, and thousandth
Answer by lukechalfant(2) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Tenth: .8
Hundredth: .76
Thousandth: .758
The first place after the decimal is the tenth. The second is the hundredth. The third is the thousandth.
To round to the tenth (for example): Take the number as is from left to right until you reach the tenths place.
For the number in the tenths place: If the number in the hundredths place is 5 or greater the number in the tenths spot is one higher. If the number in the hundredths place is less than 5 leave the number in the tenths spot as is.
