To write a fraction as a decimal, you simply divide the numerator (top) by the denominator (bottom).
When you do this with a calculator, the answer will appear as decimal.
If don't have a calculator, then you can use long division but you will get the same result.
Divide 5 by 9
... This ends up as a repeating decimal.
Try this with your calculator:
... another repeating decimal.
