Question 121081: How do I find out what is a 4% increase of 57000? Can you show me how you set the equation up?
Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When you say 4% of 57,000 that means multiply 57000 by 4 divided by 100 (per cent).
2,280 is 4% of 57,000.
If you say what is 57,000 increased by 4%, it would be 57,000 plus 4% of 57,000.
57000+2280=59280
So a 4% increase of 57,000 would give you 59,280.
