Question 1014250: I am a four digit number, i am less than 5000
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you could be any number greater than or equal to 1000 and less than 5000.
some examples:
1000
1001
2005
3999
4999
you could not be 999 or less because than you would be a 3 digit number or less.
you could not be 5000 because then you would be equal to 5000 and the requirements is that you are less than 5000.
i believe that you also need to be an integer.
if you were a number greater than or equal to 1000, the fractional part of your number would have to be equal to 0 because if it was not, the total number of digits would then be greater than 4.
1000.0 is equal to 1000.
1000.1 is 3equal to 1000.1 which is 5 digits, not 4.
hopefully they are just talking about integers.
your numbers would be any numbers between 1000 and 4999.
