as best i can determine, the repetend is the part of the faction that repeats endlessly and the period is the length of the repetend.

it was not easy to find a simple definition on the web, but i think i succeeded after several efforts where they talked a lot about what the repetend was but not very much about what the period was.

assuming my search was successful, you get the following:

a. 0.9999

the repetend is 9 and the period is 1.

b. 0.567323232

the repetend is 32 and the period is 2.

c. 0.1827482748274

the repetend is 8274 and the period is 4.

i believe you would write them as follows using the bar notation.

             _
a. 0.9999 = .9

                      __
b. 0.567323232 = .56732

                        ____
c. 0.1827482748274 - .18274
