Question 984693: One angle of a triangle has a measure of 66 degrees. The measure of the third angle is 57 degrees more than half the measure of the second angle. The sum of the angle measures of a triangle is 180 degrees. What is the measure of the second angle? What is the measure of the third angle?
Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Angle 1=66
Angle 2=x
Angle 3 = (1/2)x + 57.
;
Therefore, 66+x+(1/2)x+57=180
1.5x + 123=180
1.5 x = 57
x=38 degrees, dividing both sides by 1.5
;
Angle 1 is 66
Angle 2=38 ANSWER
Angle 3=76 units all degrees. ANSWER
They add to 180 degrees.
