Answer by edjones(8007) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A) 3x+y=2
B) 2x-3y=16
multiply A) times 3: 9x+3y=6
add B)=============2x-3y=16
--------------------------------
===================11x=22
divide 11 into each side: x=2
replace x with 2 in A): 3*2+y=2...6+y=2...y=-4
