Hi there,
To find out the number of months
when both plans equal the same,
set up two equations and make them
equal one another.
CanFit 150 + 20n (n = no. of months)
Fitness 'R' 100 + 30n
=> 150 + 20n = 100 + 30n
Collect like terms
=> 20n - 30n = 100 - 150
=> -10n = - 50
n = -50/-10
n = 5
Therefore after 5 months both plans cost the same.
=>150 + 20n = 100 + 30n
=>150 +20(5) = 100 + 30(5)
=> 150 + 100 = 100 + 150
=> 250 = 250
Hope htis helps:-)
