Question 953785: Please help me asap.
Your class is planning to have a field trip in one of the historical places in your region. As the leader of the group, you are assigned to go to an amusement park in the area where you are supposed to visit so that a reasonable amount will be included in the field trip fee. You are asked to present a deliver report.the gathered data will be analyzed, interpreted, and explained using mathematical models (linear equation in two variables). In addition, you are expected to give recommendations as to which options if any, will require a minimal amount of fee.
The following may help you prepare your report.
A.suppose the amusement park has two tickets options:
1.Buy an admission ticket for $100 and then pay $5 for each ride.
2.Buy an admission ticket for $40 and then pay $15 for each ride.
B. How much will a student spend if he will buy the $100 admission ticket and take 5 rides?10 rides?15 rides?0 rides?x rides?
C.How much will a student spend if he will buy the $40 admission ticket and take 5 rides?10 rides?15 rides?0 rides?x rides?
D. If x represents the number of rides and y represents the total amount spent in dollars, write two equation (one for B and another for C) to represent two admission and ticket options. Start your equation with "y="
E. Write an explanation as to what opinion to choose. Include other information so that a decision can be made.
F. If you are going to this amusement park, what will you choose? Explain.

Answer by rothauserc(4718)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
B) a student will spend 100 + (5*x) where x is the number of rides
if x = 5, then 100 + (5*5) = $125
if x = 10, then 100 + (5*10) = $150
if x = 15, then 100 + (5*15) = $175
if x = 0, then 100 + (5*0) = $100
if x = x, then 100 + (5*x) = $100 +(5*x)
C) a student will spend 40 + (15*x) where x is the number of rides
if x = 5, then 40 + (15*5) = $115
if x = 10, then 40 + (15*10) = $190
if x = 15, then 40 + (15*15) = $265
if x = 0, then 40 + (15*0) = $40
if x = x, then 40 + (5*x) = $100 +($15*x)
D) for B, y = $100 + ($5*x)
for C, y = $40 + ($15*x)
E) B is cheaper for all number of rides, including no rides.
F) I would choose B - it is cheaper.
