one number is twice another number.
a = 2b
if 15 is subtracted from both the numbers,the one of the new numbers become trice that of new number.
a - 15 = 3(b - 15)
a - 15 = 3b - 45
a = 3b - 45 + 15
a = 3b - 30
replace a with 2b
2b = 3b - 30
30 = 3b - 2b
30 = b
:
one number (b) is 30 and the other number, obviously is 60
