Let x,y be the two numbers whose sum is 25
hence x+y= 25----------------eq(1)
one number is 10 more than other
hence x-y= 10........................eq(2)
solve eq(1) and eq(2) to get x, y
add both equation
x+y= 25
x-y= 10
________
2x = 35
_________
2x= 35
divie with 2 on both sides

hence y = 17.5-10 = 7.5
Result : x= 17.5 & y=7.5
