Question 918879: Taylor bought 2 hotdogs and 2 sodas for $3.50. Jacob bought 3 hotdogs and 1 soda for $4.25. What is the cost of 1 soda?
Answer by ewatrrr(24785)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2h + 2s = $3.50
-2(3h + 1s = $4.25)
-4h = -5
h = 5/4 = $1.25, the cost of a hotdog
s = $1.00, the cost of 1 soda
And.. checking
3h + 1s = 4.25
$3.75 + $1.00 = 4.75
