Question 912664: the perimeter of a rectangle is 106 cm. If the length is 7 cm less than three times the width, what are the dimensions?
Answer by JulietG(1812) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
perimeter = 2length + 2width
106 = 2(3w-7) + 2w
106 = 6w-14 +2w
106 = 8w-14
120 = 8w
15 = w
l = 3*15 - 7
l = 45-7
l = 38
106 = 38 + 38 + 15 + 15
106 = 76 + 30
106 = 106
