Ronald rode away from home in a car at rate of 32 miles per hour. He walked back at the rate of 4 miles per hour. The round trip required 2.25 hours. How far did ronald ride?
------------
Avg speed for the round trip is
2*32*4/(32+4) = 64/9 mi/hr
------
RT distance = r*t = (64/9)*2.25 = 16 miles
--> 8 miles each way
