7 people go to movie. the child ticket is half the price of adult. 30 dollars was total. how many kids went and what was the price of a ticket
***
price of kids ticket=$2.50
price of adult ticket=$5.00
number of kids who went to the movie=2, cost=2*2.50=$5.00
number of adults who went to the movie=5, cost=5*5.00=$25.00
total cost=5+25=30 dollars
can anyone do this problem algebraically?
