Question 856905: Shelby just opened a pet store in the middle of town. She makes $35 for every bag of dog food she sells and her monthly expenses are $35,000. What is the minimum bags of dog food she needs to sell in a month in order to make a profit? Show your work.
Answer by JulietG(1812) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If she makes $35 profit on each bag of dog food, they must be some pretty huge bags!
Expenses = 35000.
Divide her expenses by her per bag profit.
= 1000
She breaks even at 1000 bags, so she would need to sell 1001 bags to turn a profit.
