If it took Brady 4 hours to catch up with Sarah, how long was Sarah driving before Brady started?

Let t = Sarah's driving time when B caught her
We know Brady drove for 4 hrs
:
When B catches S, they will have traveled the same distance
Write a distance equation; dist = speed * time
:
51t = 60 * 4
51t = 240
t = 240/51
t = 4.7 hrs
therefore
4.7 - 4 = .7 hrs before B started (that's about 42 minutes)
