Question 771878: find the value of the unknown
the gradient of AB is 4, where A= (2,1) and B (5,y)

Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Using the gradient formula:
y2 - y1/x2 - x1
y - 1/5 - 2
y-1/3
y - 1/3 = 4
Cross multiply
y - 1 = 12
y = 13
Coordinates for B = (5,13)
Hope this helps.
