Question 766430: The sum of two numbers is 27. They have a difference of 3. Set up a system of equations and use it to find the two numbers.
Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x + y = 27
x - y = 3
Add
2x = 30
x = 30/2
x = 15
Substitute x = 15
in x + y = 27
15 + y = 27
y = 27 - 15
y = 12
15 and 12
hope this helps.
