Let the smaller, or first number be S
Then larger or second number = S + 1
Therefore, 2(S + 1) = 4S - 20
2S + 2 = 4S - 20
2S - 4S = - 20 - 2
- 2S = - 22
S, or smaller/first number = , or
Larger/second number = S + 1, or
