How much pure alcohol must be added to 1200 ml of a 20% solution to make its strength 36%?
-------
Equation:
alc + alc = alc
0.20*1200 + 1*x = 0.36(1200+x)
-----
20*1200 + 100x = 36*1200 + 36x
64x = 16*1200
x = 300 ml (amt. of pure alc needed)
