Hi,

What weight of water must be added to 50 lb of a 36% sulfuric acid solution 

to yield a 20% solution? 

          WATER = WATER ( and...lbs the same on both sides of the EQ)

  x + .64*50lb = .80(50lb+x)

     .2x = .16*50lb

        x = 40lb of water must be added
