They can be solved in the same way. The only difference is that when you multiply or divide both sides by a negative number, then the inequality sign will flip.

Note: you can think of the equation sign flipping as well if you want (to stay consistent) since flipping the equation sign goes from = to = (and it doesn't change)

Yes, we solve linear inequalities the same way we solve linear equations.
When solving a linear equation, the answer obtained is called the solution.
When solving an inequality, the answer is
called the solution set. I hope this helps.
