Question 624905: I am totally stumped on these word problems:
A one-cup serving of orange juice contains 3 mg less than
four times the amount of vitamin C as a one-cup serving
of pineapple juice. Servings of the two juices contain a
total of 122 mg of vitamin C. How many milligrams of
vitamin C are in a serving of each type of juice?
So far my guess is 122=4X-3-X
Also it possible where i can find out to do these so i won't have to ask for help for these type of problems in the future! Thank you!

Yes! You have the idea of identifying the OJ and P...that is the KEY thing!
Set Up is to add the two,however
Question states*** OJ + P = 122mg
122mg = (4x-3mg) + x
125 = 5x
x = 25mg, amount on P. OJ has 97mg
