Question 617515: The perimeter of a rectangle is 90m. The length is 3m more than twice the width. What is the length? What is the width?
Answer by Greenfinch(383) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x + 2y = 90 and x = y+3
so 2(y+3) + 2y = 90
2y + 3 = 45
2y = 42
y = 21 and thus x = 24
Check 2x + 2y = 42 + 48 = 90
