Answer by cyclones24(2) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Y=2x+1
x+y=4
do the Substitution method
if Y= 2x+1 put that where ever u see y in the second equation.
it would be... x+(2x+1)=4 then that equals 3x+1=4 subtact 1 from both sides
3x+1-1=4-1
3x=3
x=1
then put xin the first equation to find out Y
Y=2x+1
Y=2(1)+1
y=3
