There were 610 people at a play. The admission price was 2$ for adults and 1$ for children. the admission receipts were 960$. How many adults and how many children attended
sol :
let x = no of children , (610 - x) be the no of adults
let
(price per child * total chidren)+ (price per adult * total adults) = 960
(1*x) + ((610 - x)*2)) = 960
solving x you get, children = 260 and adults 350.
