Question 565149: I am helping my daughter with her homework & I caanot remember how to do these. This is how the problem reads:
A telephone booth that is 8feet tall casts a shadow that is 4 feet long. Find the height of a lawn ornament that casts a 2 feet shadow.

Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8/4=x/2

8*2 = 4x

16 = 4x

16/4 = x

x = 4

So the lawn ornament is 4 ft tall.
