Question 510979: how to solve this elimination problem : 3x-2y=10 , 2x+3y=-2
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3 x -2 y = 10 .............1
2 x + 3 y = -2 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 3
Multiply (2) by 2
9 x -6 y = 30
4 x 6 y = -4
Add the two equations
13 x = 26
/ 13
x = 2
plug value of x in (1)
3 x + -2 y = 10
6 + -2 y = 10
-2 y = 10-6
-2 y = 4
y = -2
