This total number of fruits must be twice the number of water melons more than the number of apples. if she expects a total revenue of $86 by charging $3 per apple and $7 per water melon, hoe many apples and water melons should she sell?
I have done 2x+y=28
and 2(7x)+3y= 86
Dont think that is right....

Value Equation: 3a + 7w = 86

Substitute for "a" and solve for "w":
3(28-2w)+7w = 86
84-6w+7w = 86
w = 2 (# of watermelons)
