Hi,
40 questions
Some of the questions are worth 4 points each, and some are worth 2 points each
The total test is worth 100 points.
Let f represent the number of questions worth 4 points
and t, the number of questions worth 2 points.
Which equation represents the total points possible for the test?
4f + 2t = 100
For ex:
Let x and (40-x) represent f and t respectively:
4x + 2(40-x) = 100
2x = 20
x = 10, the number of 4pt questions. There are 30 2-pt questions (40-20)
4*10 + 2*30 = 100 pts
