can you please help me with this question---- line L contains the points (0,4) and (2,0).HOw can I show that the point (-25,81) does OR does not lie on line L
---------------------
Find the equation of the line thru those 2 points.
---
Note:
y-intercept = 4.
slope = (4-0)/(0-2) = -2
---
Equation: y = -2x+4
---
Checking the point (-25,81)
81 = -2(-25)+4
81 = 54
Wrong
So that point is not on that line.
