Given: x + y= 62...............(1)
x - y =36......................(2)
Add equation (1) and (2) we get,
2x =98
x = 98/2
x=49
Substitute the value of x in equation (1) we get
49 + y = 62
y = 62-49
y = 13
Therefore the numbers are 49 and 13
