According to data from the NFL, the average yearly salary (in thousands) for a player can be approximated by the equation y = 134.47 x + 827.93 where x = 0 corresponds to the year 2000. In what year will the average salary by $2.8 million.
------------------
Note: 2.8 million = 2800 thousand
Solve:
2800 = 134.47x + 827.93
134.47x = 1972.07
----
x = 14.67 years after 2000
---
Ans: In the year 2015
