x+y = 50............1
0.60x+0.90y=32.40
multiply by 100
6x+9y=3240...........2

x+y=50 .............1
6x+9y=3240 .............2

multiply (1)by -6
Multiply (2) by 1
multiply (1)by -6
Multiply (2) by 1
-6x-6y= -300
6x+9y=324

Add the two equations

3y=24

/3

y=8 overtime hours
Plug value of y in
1x+1y=50
1x+8=50
