Luke has 5$ more than sam. Together they have $73. How much money does each boy have?
-----
Let's say Sam has "x" dollars
Then Luke has x+5 dollars.
----
Equation:
x + x+5 = 73
2x = 68
x = 34 dollars (Sam has this amount)
x+5 = 39 dollars (Luke has this amount)
