Answer by rvquartz(19)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
 perimeter of a rectangle is: twice the length + twice the height
P = 2L + 2W = 25
L = 5x - 1
W = 2x
so
P = 2(5x -1) + 2(2x) = 25
10x - 2 + 4x = 25
14x = 27
x = 27/14
x = 1 13/14
L = 8 feet and 7.7 inches
W = 3 feet and 10.3 inches
