Question 366912: The length of a rectangle is 9 feet more than its width. The perimeter is 58 feet. find the dimensions.(prior knowledge: perimeter=2 times the length plus 2 times the width) How do you write that? Answer by ewatrrr(24785) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Hi,
Let x represent the width, then the length would be (x+9ft)
2(x+9ft) + 2*x = 58ft
Or
x = 10ft, the width. the length = 19
2*10ft + 2*19ft = 20ft + 38ft = 58ft
