The ANSI states that the slope of a wheelchair ramp must not exceed 1/12. A ramp must be 14 inches high. What is the minimum length of this ramp so it meets ANSI requirements?
Set up a proportion:
1 in of rise/12 inches of run = 14 inches of rise /x inches of run
x=12(14)= 168 inches of run
