I'm assuming that the problem is abs%28x%2B4%29%3C6. If so, recall that if abs%28x%29%3Ca, then x%3Ca or x%3E-a


Use this idea to break up abs%28x%2B4%29%3C6 into x%2B4%3C6 or x%2B4%3E-6. I'll let you take it from here. All you need to do is solve each inequality separately then report the solutions together using "or" as a connective.
