A truck leaves a town traveling at 50 miles per hour. Two hours later
TRUCK GOES IN 2 HOURS =2*50=100 MILES
a car leaves, traveling along the same road at 55mph.
RELATIVE SPEED BETWEEN THE CAR AND TRUCK WHILE GOING IN SAME DIRECTION = 55-50=5 MPH
DISTANCE OF SEPERATION =100.MILES
TIME TAKEN TO CATCH UP =100/5=20 HRS
In how many hours will the car catch the truck?
